February Register Roundup: Everett Recovery Cafe
This February, we’re spreading the Local Love all month long-starting with this month’s Register Roundup recipient, The Everett Recovery Café.
Located just a floor below our Co-op, their mission is to be a safe, healing community for individuals in recovery from the trauma of homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges and to empower long-term transformation through human connection.
For hundreds of people in Snohomish County, Everett Recovery Café is a lifeline. Because of recent losses of federal and state funding, the Café is facing a $100,000 funding gap. In contrast to these cutbacks, the need in our community continues to grow. Without community support, they will be forced to reduce their hours and services — meaning fewer meals, fewer peer support groups, and fewer safe days for people in recovery relying on them.
Let’s work together to help our neighbors keep their doors open to serve. Shop any time in February and let your cashier know you would like to round up your purchase to donate. You can also choose to donate any extra dollars to them should you wish. As always, we donate 100% of all funds collected.
Can’t donate right now? We can still support them by sharing their posts with our friends and neighbors, helping them spread the word across our community. Learn more at their website here. You can also support them by shopping during First Friday, the day that we donate 3% of sales to our Register Roundup recipient.
Thank you for working together with us to support our neighbors and the valuable work they do.
