A Message from New General Manager
We have two exciting pieces of news to share. First, we are happy to announce that Tom Williams is the new General Manager of our Co-op. Tom is a long-time Everett resident with decades of grocery and management experience as well as a passion for serving our local community. Second, today marks the relaunch of our monthly owner newsletter. This issue is a small one, and you can pick up a copy in our front-end area or read it online here. We look forward to sharing updates with you there. Below is Tom’s first letter to us all. We hope you enjoy.
-Co-op Staff
Co-op Owners,
My name is Tom, and I am the new General Manager at the Sno-Isle Food Co-op. I wanted to reach out to everyone and introduce myself. I am beyond excited to be a part of this wonderful store, which is not only a place where our community can access fresh, local, and sustainable food, but also a place where community members can earn a living and provide for their families.
Leading our team is truly a humbling experience. I am a resident of Everett and have been for the last 10 years. My children were born and raised here. I frequent many of the businesses and activities offered around downtown, and many of you may recognize me. I am passionate about Everett and the future of the city. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the community I live in and call home. I have had the privilege to plant my roots in Everett. My commitment to you and everyone that depends on Sno-Isle is that this year we are going to go all in on what makes us who we are. We are going to honor our roots at the Co-op, while also looking to the future to better serve the needs of all of you. Our vision statement is “growing the health of our communities from the roots up”. We are going to do exactly that.
Starting today, we will re-establish our monthly newsletter. In it, we will communicate important business-related updates, news from our Board of Trustees, outreach and event information, and content from our staff, vendors, and shoppers. We are member-owned and community-driven, and we want to recommit to all the things that make us who we are. Additionally, we will lead efforts to participate in more community events and functions. We want to deliver our mission to everyone who hasn’t heard of it and help Everett live and eat better. For almost 30 years, this store has served the community of Everett, and with your help, we hope to be here for many more years to come. Thank you, I look forward to serving all of you and hope to see you all soon!
Have an Awesome Day!
