Looking for Local? Look no further!

Looking for local these days? You’re not alone. Whether it’s for health, environmental, or economic reasons, our Co-op is here for all of your local grocery shopping needs (and wants, too).

We’re downtown Everett’s only community owned grocery store. So whether you’re buying a national brand item or picking up locally grown veggies from us - shopping at our Co-op means you are doing your part to support your neighbors and our local economy.

Our Co-op was formed in the 90’s by a diverse group of folks with a common desire to source food that is local, sustainable, safe, and healthy. Luckily, knowing where our products come from and how they are harvested/produced is at the core of our every day workflow. We are working hard every day to ensure that items in our produce department are clearly marked with their country/state of origin so that you may make informed decisions when you shop.

Last week, after learning that Earthbound Organics was acquired by Taylor Farms, our team made the decision to no longer carry their products. This means we are stocking more locally owned, bagged lettuce options like mixes from Spring Time Farm, Commonplace Farm, and more. Additionally, we are stocking Organic Girl lettuce mixes to fill in any gaps. While this means that we no longer have lettuce mixes in compostable packaging, you can rest assured that we do not carry any mixes that have been involved in recent recalls.

To help make identifying products from local farmers easier, please look for these new tags (shown above) across our produce department. And look for our green “local” and “hyper local” tags around our store to help identify other local products.

Thank you for choosing to support local farmers, producers, and staff members by shopping our Co-op. We appreciate your business and shared commitment to our Co-op Principles.
