How to Vote

  • All active owners with a valid email address will be emailed a direct link to your ballots on June 15, 2026.

  • If you did not receive an email ballot link, use the “VOTE ONLINE” button* below to access your online ballot.

  • If you prefer to vote in person, fill out a paper ballot in the store between June 15-July 15, 2026.

  • The Special Election runs from June 15-July 15, 2026. Physical ballots must be turned in and votes must be cast electronically by 9:00 PM, July 15, 2026.

2026 Special Election

Calling ALL Sno-Isle Food Co-op owners! Vote in this historic election to ensure you are a part of making decisions for the future of our Co-op.

In a nutshell, this election will decide whether our ownership (that’s you) approves a proposal allowing us to offer “Preferred Shares” as a way to raise capital for our future relocation project.

Additionally, we would like to invite all owners to attend our July 15th Owner Summer Social & Special Election Meeting where we can socialize with fellow owners, learn about this proposed change, speak with and ask any questions to our Board Members, and cast a ballot in this historic election.

Background

May 11, 2026 our Board of Trustees passed a proposal to amend of our Articles of Incorporation in a way that would allow our Co-op the ability to raise capital by offering the sale of Preferred Shares to our owners. The details are outlined in the proposed Articles of Amendment.

Per our Co-op’s Bylaws and Washington State Law, we need (blank percentage) of our owners to vote on these proposed Articles of Amendmentthat would change our Articles of Incorporation.

If approved, we could offer Preferred Shares (please see FAQ page for more info) to our owners which would in turn allow for us to raise funds for our relocation. If denied, we will need to come up with an alternative method (not sure what to write if it is too much opinion).

Election Info

  • The Special Election runs from June 15-July 15, 2026. Physical ballots must be turned in and votes must be cast electronically by 9:00 PM, July 15, 2026.

  • Your ballot will remain completely confidential.

  • Paper ballots will be validated by owner ID number and name. Unsure of your owner ID number? Check the back of your owner ID card, or simply ask a cashier for assistance.

  • To be eligible for voting, you must be considered an active owner per our Bylaws.

  • If you submit both an online and a paper ballot, the online ballot will take precedence.

  • Each active Sno-Isle Food Co-op Owner is allowed one vote per household, and members of other co-ops are not eligible to vote.

  • Election results will be announced by late July, 2026.
